Explorative expeditions are in-depth, educational, and immersive walks through the plant’s facilities and territory of the power plant complex. They offer a unique opportunity to explore the progress of one of Lithuania’s megaprojects up close and to look into the past and present of nuclear energy, as well as glimpse the vision of an atomic future.

Grand expedition into nuclear transformation

The expedition takes place on Thursdays and Fridays (weekdays) from 9:00 a.m. (duration approx. 6 hours). Price: €106/person

Gift Voucher Purchase Terms and Conditions

The purchase of a gift voucher begins with reserving the gift voucher. You can find the reservation form here.
If the gift voucher reservation form does not accept reservations, this means that the allocated number of gift vouchers has been exhausted, and the remaining available expedition dates are offered to customers in the usual manner, without gift vouchers.
If your reservation is accepted via the reservation form, the service organizer undertakes to issue an invoice for payment to the person who made the reservation, using the contact details provided, within 3 working days.
Upon receipt of payment, the purchase of the gift voucher(s) is confirmed, and no later than within 2 working days the gift voucher(s) with unique, one-of-a-kind numbers will be sent to the contact specified in the registration form (these are random numbers taken from the list of components being dismantled at the Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant).
The service organizer is committed to issuing the invoice for gift voucher payment as promptly as possible and, once payment is received, to sending the gift voucher without delay. However, in the event of high demand, the organizer reserves the right to complete these actions within the time limits specified above.

Gift Voucher Terms of Use

This gift voucher is valid for one-time use and grants one person the right to participate in one expedition to the former Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant in Lithuania.
Voucher value: either €95 (Grand expedition into nuclear transformation) or €150 (Special Weekend Expedition), depending on the selected option.
The selected expedition is organized once a group of no fewer than 10 participants is formed; therefore, the service organizer reserves the right to adjust the expedition date and offer alternative options to the voucher holder.
Voucher validity: the voucher is valid for six months from the date of purchase. After the expiration date, the voucher is no longer accepted and is not refundable. Upon purchasing or receiving a gift voucher, we recommend registering for an expedition as soon as registration opens.
Expedition registration: purchasing a gift voucher does not guarantee expedition registration; however, the expedition organizer guarantees that the service will be provided during the voucher validity period, provided that the voucher holder completes the registration. The voucher holder must register independently for a selected date from the available options via the standard expedition registration procedure once the organizer publicly announces the opening of expedition registration. Typically, expedition registrations are announced no more than two weeks before the start of a new quarter and remain open until all expedition dates for the current quarter are filled.
Voucher use: the voucher is valid for one expedition and one person only. The voucher is considered used once the voucher holder participates in the expedition or when the voucher expires.
Cancellations and changes: if a registered participant is unable to attend the expedition, they must notify the organizer no later than 24 hours before the service is provided. The expedition organizer allows the expedition registration date to be changed once during the entire validity period of the voucher. Failure to cancel in time will result in the voucher being considered used.
Lost voucher: a lost voucher—when the holder cannot prove possession of the gift voucher or the unique gift voucher number known to the service organizer—will not be accepted, cannot be used, exchanged, or refunded.
