Unique object

The nuclear power plant that operated in Lithuania is located in the municipality of Visaginas, near Lake Drūkšiai – the largest lake in the country – and is known as the Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant. This is a unique place that housed two of the most powerful nuclear reactors in the world. Although the plant is no longer operational and is currently being decommissioned, it remains an important historical and industrial landmark that continues to attract visitors.

Exceptional experience

The guided expeditions offered at this former Lithuanian nuclear power plant are not your typical tour. They are in-depth, educational, and immersive walks through the plant’s facilities and grounds, providing a rare opportunity to explore Lithuania’s nuclear energy legacy, observe the decommissioning process firsthand, and glimpse the vision for the future of nuclear power.
