Prerequisite for starting works

Before starting works in the territory of the power plant, contractors must agree on and sign a statement on the boundaries of mutual responsibilities for the safety and health of the workers with „Altra”. Starting works is forbidden absent a signed statement.

The statement on the boundaries of mutual responsibilities shall establish the following:

  • who is responsible for the safety of workers in a specific workplace
  • which safety measures are to be used by „Altra” and which by the contractor
  • the procedure of coordination of works, permits and instruction briefings in the territory of the power plant

Principles of works performance

Works in the Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant are to be performed according to instructions, following clearly defined requirements for safety and work organisation. All suppliers and contractors must work in accordance with the established procedure and ensure that works are carried out safely, in a coordinated and controlled manner. Working methods may not be changed arbitrarily if this may affect safety or technological processes.
