Visitors can choose from three tour options:
Grand expedition – a full-day journey through one of Lithuania’s megaproject. Visitors explore unique areas of the Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant, visit the Interim Spent Fuel Storage Facility, and discover the plant’s protected site.
Short expedition – an opportunity to see the decommissioning of the Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant in just a few hours. Visitors explore unique areas of the plant, including the turbine hall, the spent fuel pool, the reactor control room, and other restricted-access facilities that are rarely open to the public.
Saturday expedition – a convenient option for visitors who are unable to attend on weekdays. This weekend tour offers the opportunity to explore Lithuania’s decommissioning megaproject and visit areas where dismantling activities are currently taking place.
During the tours, visitors can witness one of Europe’s largest and most technically demanding nuclear decommissioning projects, learn about the history of nuclear energy in Lithuania, and see first-hand how the country’s nuclear transformation is taking shape.
